About Our Practice

Florida Cannabis CPA is an accounting and advisory practice focused entirely on the cannabis sector: licensed operators, the suppliers who serve them, and the owners financing both.

The work is deliberately unglamorous. Reconciliations that balance, methodology that is written down, statements that arrive when they are still useful, and advice that distinguishes what we know from what remains uncertain.

How We Work

Every engagement starts with the records as they actually exist rather than as they should be. We assess the chart of accounts, the inventory subledger, the reconciliation state and the documentation supporting prior positions, then propose a sequence of work with the highest-risk item first.

Scope, deliverables and responsibilities go in writing. You should always know what we are doing, what your team is doing, and what a given month costs.

What We Believe About This Industry

Cannabis accounting rewards discipline over cleverness. The operators who fare best under examination are not the ones with the most aggressive positions; they are the ones whose methodology is written, consistent and supported by contemporaneous records.

We also believe in saying plainly when something is unsettled. Federal scheduling, litigation and agency guidance continue to move. We will tell you what is established, what is contested and where you need legal counsel rather than an accountant.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not promise tax savings, audit protection or guaranteed deductions.
  • We do not provide legal advice or regulatory representation.
  • We do not advise on structures without economic substance.
  • We do not publish client names, case studies or performance claims about outcomes.

Working Across the State

Client work is conducted remotely with scheduled on-site visits where inventory observation, cash controls review or team training make physical presence worthwhile. That model keeps senior attention on the work rather than on travel.

Where We Publish

Practice notes, explainers and community discussion on cannabis accounting, compliance workflows and tax documentation.

Talk through your accounting position

A short conversation is usually enough to identify where documentation, inventory costing or reporting needs attention.
